Production Welder/Fabricator

Job Overview

If you are a hardworking individual with a background in welding, this is the job for you. Our Production Welder/Fabricator produces quality weldments on stainless and carbon steel materials in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions. This position requires the knowledge to determine and apply the appropriate welding techniques as well as set up and tack weld parts with or without the use of fixtures or jigs with reasonable assistance.

Role of Production Welder/Fabricator

Conveyor Engineering specializes in screw conveyors and mixers. The Production Welder/Fabricator position is overseen by our Shop Supervisor. This position receives CAD drawings from the drafting department and carries out the necessary welds to make the drawing a reality while adhering to the company quality standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Produce quality weldments on stainless and carbon steel materials in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions
  • Join and fabricate metal by applying appropriate welding techniques with reasonable assistance
  • Set up and tack welds parts with or without use of fixtures or jigs with reasonable assistance
  • Interpret blueprints of limited complexity, specifications diagrams, or schematics to ensure products meet quality standards
  • Work as part of a team with other employees
  • Assist with training of others as directed
  • Respond to work assignments and requests by being cooperative and available
  • Follow through and meet commitments
  • Follow safety procedures, protocols, policies

Skill and Qualifications:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to weld in flat, horizontal, and vertical positions
  • Must be able to complete welds in various joint configurations
  • Must have a hard-working attitude with a commitment to getting the job done on time
  • Must take pride in their work
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Must be punctual and reliable
  • Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours at a time

The Position and Benefits:

  • Hours are generally 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
